This is the Part 1, the early part of my set from my monthly party that goes down every third Friday @ The Drake, Toronto. Recorded April 18th 2008. I have a special guest every month and this month was the one and only Skratch Bastid!!! We did it up on 4 turntables! As said, this is the early part of my set, I just got right into it after Skratch Bastid and I sound checked. It starts of quite slow, bpm wise but I move quickly play some serious slow jams and sampled songs I always enjoy hearing on a good club system. It picks up nicely and it's about 50 minutes long. Anyone that truly knows me or has seen my record collection, knows that as much as I'm a Hip Hop head, I love my Jazz! I wish I could play jazz a lot more, but it seems a lot of people can't really wrap there heads around it. Dame shame! This is another early evening set recorded at my long running Footwork Tuesdays (I play the real good shit before it gets too busy). It's about 45 minutes the first half is on the funkier side of things and the second half gets really jazzy. Everything played here was recorded in the last few years (give or take), except "Spinnin" by Bernard Wright, the Gladys Knight vocals of the "Grapevine" Remix and "Keep Her Happy" by Phillip Wright. This might surprise you, as it should, but don't let it defer you from giving it a good listen. Good Funk and Jazz is still being made, just go out and find it! FYI It's Questlove (from 'The Roots') on the drums in the "I Heard It Through The Grapevine (Sympathy For The Grapes Mix)" Dig it!

This is part of my set from April's Never Forgive Action. All Classic Hip Hop & a little R&B,. It's a about 56 minutes. This was my second time guesting @ NFA, and as usual, it was a real good time. Never Forgive Action is a monthly party dedicated to Classic Hip Hop, mid 80's to mid 90's. NFA residents DJ Dalia and Numeric hold it down with a special guest every first Friday of the month @ the Drake Underground. Should be back there soon. The set is OK, a few fuck ups here and there. It's wasn't as good as my first guest spot, but I didn't record that so... you'll never know. Not as deep as I would have liked to get. The crowd was more into the 90's shit, so for the most part, that's what I stuck with. Hope you enjoy.

First off big ups everyone that enjoyed the last cast Live from my 8 year Anniversary of Footwork Tuesday (Andy Poolhall, Toronto) I received plenty of great feedback and thats very appreciated! DJ FASE Live @ Remix This! 12.26.07

This past Boxing day (12/26/07) I did a guest spot at Matt Medley's Remix This! Wednesday Nights @ Andy Poolhall in Toronto. This night has a different guest DJ every week and asks the DJ to play or create remixes. I have always enjoyed doing accapella blends since I first started DJ'ing 15 years ago. Way before the so called "Mash-Up" Style was trendy!
It's about an hour and 20 minutes and gets a little sloppy near the end, as the double whiskey's I was drinking started sinking in. LOL
